Awesome place

The proximity to KL is an excellent feature that make going to Genting Highlands very easy and without wastage of time.

The weather is excellent with clouds covering the parking area itself. The cable car or the sky walk is an experience that has no match.

This place has four hotels with different character of its own and you may pick up any based on your budget and taste. However, you may end up using the room only for sleeping and shower. There are TV and fridge in each room but you may not need any of them.

The entire set up has shopping arcade, eateries, fine dinning, bars, game zone, theme park and casino spread over all the four hotels.

You may not get an opportunity to get out of the entire facility but you should not miss an opportunity to go out of hotel lobby after 10 pm or early morning to feel the clouds in the parking area itself.

Dinning at Spice Garden Fine Dinning is a must to complete this trip.

Best place to let it out

There are various bus companies which operates from Kuala Lumpur to Genting from 8:00 am and provides service in every 30- 45 minutes. The buses drops you off at the terminal which is beside the Skyway cable car base station. You will have to take the Skyway cable cars to reach till the resort.

Either you take the package or you can opt for Outdoor Theme Park ticket which you can purchase while you get the ticket. Make sure that you have the theme park pass, as it is always better to get it before hand rather than getting it on the spot. I highly doubt if you get that on the spot.

Instead of buses, you can drive to Genting Highland. Please make a note of the curves and the exit road to Genting as there is no U-turns. You can stop by Chin Swee Temple on the way if you're driving. It's a typical chinese temple. You'll be amazed by the architecture.

The outdoor theme park has wide range of rides and waterslides. I go back to Genting every once in while for those rides. The indoor theme park is equally good but i personally prefer the outdoor park.

I ain't a huge fan of Snow World here. Genting is also one of the shopping destinations but i find everything pretty expensive there.

Weekends will be crowded as people from Kuala Lumpur comes here not just for these but also for Casino De Genting. Carry an ID proof if you plan to gamble!

I have never stayed back in Genting because it isn't far from the city. Note down the last bus timing if you're planning for a day trip.

The cable car station shuts down way early than the buses so plan your trip before you head out.

The weather here is always challenging for drivers, so be careful while driving. The rains can also ruin the fun of the theme parks as most of it will stop operating till the rain stops so it's better to go early. Do carry a jacket and a raincoat if possible. It always rains in genting, one of the reason why it is escape from the Kuala Lumpur's heat.

Happy riding
