Efficient, Clean, Expensive, Fairly Smoke Free

Great place to be. I was there for Business for 10 Days . Efficient people, Clean city, Decent nightlife, pretty safe at all hours If I go back this time, I would:. #Buy an Octopus Card the moment I step out. It is practically accepted at all large and small Merchants. (Except the Local Red Toyota Taxi's). (Available at all Public Locations like Rail Station], Airports[Did't personally check though]) - It's a prepaid card that cost's minimum 150HKD (50HKD Deposit Included). #For Vegetarians - Pizza Hut's - Margherita Pizza (Think crust worked best for me). #Learn Directions in Cantanese (Left, Right, Forward, Reverse, Up & Down etc. ). #Carry a portable Umbrella or a Water repellant Body Bag (It drizzles out of the blue). #Tram, MTR & Double Decker Bus's are the best and cheapest methods of Commute. Avowing Smoking. Or smoke in the Smoking areas or Places like LKF with a lot of bars

Good destination for kids

If you planning a trip with kids it's a good destination with Disney land ocean park etc.
But in my opening Singapore has more things to do with kids & universal is much better than Disney land, if you planning Asia then Singapore is better place. Disney land looks more artificial

Hong Kong - The Cosmopolitan

Hong Kong is a very beautiful country, with proper management and discipline everywhere. It has a cultural mix of both the worlds, West & East.

When you visit Hong Kong, don't forget to travel by The Peak Tram to the Peak Tower at the top of the hill, from here you can see the entire city landscape. And believe me its so beautiful to see all buildings and ocean below you.

You can go to Tsim Sha Tsui for local shopping, and there are very huge and beautiful malls too. One of my favorite mall is Elements mall in Kowloon island.

It's advisable to keep a umbrella with you all the time, because rain can happen anytime in Hong Kong. I took a ferry ride, and used public transport everywhere.

Public transport like bus, MTR (Metro train) are so good in condition, you will love it.

You will find sea food, thai food everywhere. If you don't like such dishes, then I would advise you to carry your own meal everyday from hotel or eat fruits, drink cola only. Hope you have a wonderful stay.

City of skyscrapers

Hong kong is one of the best city that you can visit in asia. It is also called city of skyscrapers because of their tall buildings. Lot of places to visit in hong kong for example ocean water park, Victoria peak big buddha and have some nice beaches. If you are travelling with kids then this city will give them memories of their liftine because of Disney land which almost every child dream to visit. In this city there are lot of things that you can do. Hong Kong is also famous shopping destination in asia. Weather is always good. It is a bit expensive city though if will try you can managae to visit all places in your budget.
Always use metro
Right after landing buy an octopus card from airport that you can use fir metro bus and 7 eleven as well.
If you are looking for some good india food options then go to Tsim Sha Shui.
Don't s
Try to avoid cab because that is too expensive.
Indian food is also expensive in Hong Kong
If you want to travel in budget try to book everything from you side like sightseeing and hotel because all hong kong packages are expensive on all travel website.

Mr. Stanley

Hong Kong is an amazing place, well managed clean. Even one can find the bay spotlessly clean. The public transport is just to the mark. It's interesting to know that the MTR is the most advanced technology. One can access it from any part of Hong Kong.

Live it Love it

The city can be covered well in 2 days. Start with the Bank of China Tower, Bank complex, St John's cathedral. Proceed to Victoria Peak, to enjoy a bird's eye view of the city, see the Madam Tussaud's museum and head to Stanley Market. Vendors are predominantly Chinese and have a wide range of merchandise. For those of you who love to bargain, Stanley market is the place to go to.

Very convenient transportation systems in the form of MRT - trains, buses & trams.

A lot has been said about the general attitude of the HK people. That they are rude, egoistic, money minded, etc. But honestly, I found them extremely hard working and honest. They are very proud of their culture. Most of them like to keep to themselves. Not that I didn't come across any rude and ill mannered Hong Kong-er but then you find similar kind of people in all parts of the world!

All in all, a great place to have a holiday.

A busy city vacation

We visited Hong Kong with my family and enjoyed an awesome time. It was a four day trip and we covered Tian Tan Buddha (big Buddha), cable car ride, ferry ride (Duckling tour), lights and sound show, Peak Tram tour, Victoria point, Ocean park, Disney Land and lots and lots of shopping especially toy shopping. Toddlers and little boys would enjoy the city as it's kid friendly. Though there are lot of Indian restaurants ( Saravana Bhavan, Sangeetha), suggest you take some heat and eats which can save time, if you are a Vegetarian like me.

Best itinerary to travel Hong-Kong

Hi all. I am sharing the travel schedule to one of asia's most visited destination, hong kong.
Room - book through airbnb, it is best as you can have your own apartment. You can cook eat and do lot of other stuff.
I advise to stay in kowloon not in hong kong or lantau island.
Kowloon is best destination to find street markets (a heaven for shopping lovers ). Best thing is you can locate more than enough food points, restuarants etc.
Hong kong island is costly to live in.
At Lantau island you will get bored if you book hotel or room there.
And if you travel any where use mtr stations and get one octopus card. It is best thing one can get to pay your bills or travel tickets etc. It can be used everywhere in hong kong.
Must visit places-
1. Disneyland
2. Ocean park
Do book your tickets online for these 2 parks or you will find long queues. Try to reach as early as possible to these 2 destinations as they are big enough.
3. If you want to visit beach then you must go to repulse bay. The beach is too good with lot of perfect dine in shops.
4. Stanley market is nearby repulse bay, takes only 15 min by bus. But it can be avoided if you are planning a short tour.
5. For shopping the best place to visit is
Sham shui po - it is wholesale market for ladies clothes. It is known as fashion street ( no bargaining here ). And do not go on Sundays as many shops are closed.
For electronic items lovers go to apliu street. It is 2 min walk from sham shui po ( fashion street)
If you are computer freak then go to golden computer arcade. You will find thousands of shops there. It is in mongkok near ladies market.
6. Ngong ping 360 and big buddha is on lantau island and a must see. It takes one complete day to properly see the things around. Don't go by cable car instead prefer going by bus as it is cheaper.
7. Must see temple street night market a huge bargaining place but nice place. You can buy items for less than half the price quoted by shopkeepers.
8. And Macau can't be left behind. One day is sufficient for that. Take ferry as early as possible.
Macau will drop you to outer harbour. Only two things to see there are senado square and ruins of st pauls. One can visit Macau tower also.
Quicken up things here and get back to taipa island of Macau. Taipa has all the casinos and hotels.
The best hotel is galaxy and venetian. Prefer these 2 only.
And one last advise take your water bottles with you wherever you go as buying water can prove to be very expensive.
Happy holidaying.
