Ranked 2 of 45 sightseeing in London

Standing at a height of 135 meters, the London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel and is your answer if you wish to get a panoramic view of the city. It was erected in 1999 and had the distinction of the being the tallest Ferris wheel then. It allows up to 25 miles of viewing in each direction, weather permitting of course. Each rotation will take 30 minutes to complete. If you are in London, you must take a ride on this for the best view of the city.

London Eye is one of the most desirable place to visit

London Eye, one of its kind. London Eye is one of the most desirable places to visit in London. As they say, when in India do visit Taj and when in London do see the London Eye. I had visited London in May 2015 and while had one day to visit London, I decided to go and visit London Eye. Since I had not booked tickets in advance, I booked it online and that too premium one (30 pounds). This is premium since it avoids you to stand in the queue. Do make sure you tick option of print at home and carry prints along, will save time. I reached on time and my ticket was valid till 8 hrs. I opted to go in the noon and while the entry took less time, than usual, I would not have mind booking normal tickets. The ride was fantastic and I had a great time of seeing London from top. A must visit for all. But I advice one should go in the night if you are going as couple as it would be much more romantic. I also advice to relish the moment with eyes rather than waste time by only clicking pics. Food is allowed but suggest not to take much as security is high and after all you are not going above to eat food. Do also make sure you don't buy the map of places to look, as it won't be of much help. Make sure to also check weather forecast as it won't be much fun if the weather is hazy or if it's raining. Each eye can take around 20/odd people and the entire ride gets over in a matter of 20 minutes. The view from the top is totally amazing and worth the ticket. I would urge all to do visit london eye and make sure you go in groups of friends unlike me, as I was alone and did not enjoy too much.

Amazing views of London City

London Eye is one of the top attractions of the city and lives up to its name. It would appeal to all age groups whether children, youngsters or old people. If you would like to visit other attractions such as the London Dungeon, Madame Tussauds and Aquarium, there are combo offers that can be clubbed along with the London Eye ticket, which is cost-effective as compared to a separate entry ticket for each attraction. We visited during summers (late June) and took the last ride at 9 pm. Though I had heard that the queue may be really long, we were lucky to get our tickets within 10 minutes. Before the ride, we saw the 4D cinema experience (this is part of the ticket), which was fascinating through the use of moving imagery, wind, bubbles etc. The ride itself offers some great views of the Westminster Palace, Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, The Shard and numerous other sights. Touch screen monitors inside each capsule also provide interesting facts about the key sights. Before you head out, you can carry a bottle of water and of course a good camera/camera phone to capture what your eyes see:)
