Spectacular, Super and Superb place

Hello Travelers,We were planning for Jungfrau but as tickets were quite costly we planned for Titlis.Well what can I say about this place... Magnificent... We visited place in March.. We embarked from Basel in a train to Engelberg. If I remember correct, to and fro ticket coasted around 130 CHF. There was no direct train so we changed at Lucerne station. In Lucerne itself we started filling the temp. Difference. It is lot colder there compared to Basel... Train ride from Lucern is just amazing. You start noticing mountains, pine trees covered by magnificent snow. From Engelberg there is free shuttle service from the station to the bottom of the mount Titlis. Our ticket already included charge of going up to the mountain (you can check it while taking the ticket at SBB or train station).Journey to the mountain starts with a cable car. I think this is the best cable car journey I ever had. It takes quite a while to get up to the top and on the way you see yourself getting past the clouds. Cable car stops at multiple points so that skiers can get down for skiing. Top most point where cable car stops is not exactly the last point. From that point you need to get into one HUGE cable car (360 degree Rotair) which takes you to the extremely possible top of the mountain.Once Rotair ends, you end up in building with 4-5 levels. You need to take lift or stairs to get to the top most point. At 1st level they have created small glacier caves. If you have slippery shoes avoid it you will not miss much. It's good to see point.Once you are on last level you literally see yourself standing on clouds and sun shines on your head from the top. This gets better with nice cold ice at the surrounding. Everywhere you see is ice and mountains. On the top there is one suspension bridge which you should definitely try. Its absolutely not frightening. Bridge takes you to the spot from where you can enjoy beauty of mountains better. There is also a point from where you can see piece of mountain appearing as Sitting Buddha. Getting 3, 238 am on the top is altogether a different experience. There are also some Ice Flyer (open cable cars I. E without roof) that move across small points so that skiers can get down (amazing service by the gov). You should try one as it is more like a ride in the fun fair but here you ride over snow. You may enjoy some hot chocolate, food at the top. There is also a lounge where you can sit, relax, enjoy free Wi-Fi (off course nice heater)I would strongly recommend the place. It is absolutely different experience. I am surely going there again. Trip is worth every penny so if you think Jungfrau is costly this is almost same experience in less price.P. S. We noticed, there is also train that takes you till some distance on top. We missed it but it must be amazing experience to actually see train going vertically on mountain. Don't miss it, ask for it. There is not much info about it there. Some things to take care of.1. Shoes at least wear sports if not with that won't slip easily. It's quite slippery in the ice on top so do take care.2. Do check last cable car timings so that you can plan your journey accordingly. It is also available on Titlis web site. Titlis. Ch/en/glacier).3. Do not forget to carry goggles as it's too shiny due to the white snow up there.Hope information is helpful. Thanks.

Amazing cable ride

I visited the place during the month of late April 2015 arranged from Yatra Travels. The weather was fantastic with lot of tourists around. The cable car ride was amazing with awesome view of snow and mountain, lot of skiers were seen with their gears. My family was visiting a snow place for first time and thoroughly enjoyed the moment. Definitely worth a place to visit while in Lucerne.
