Central Festival Pattaya Beach is popularly known to be one of Asia’s largest beachfront shopping malls! It is Central Pattaya’s first mall and opened in 2009. Central Pattaya is Thailand’s largest retail corporation under the Central Festival brand. It has also been touted as one of Thailand’s best shopping destinations.

 History

The impressive mall plays host to over 370 retail shops along with housing a massive entertainment complex. The mall has been designed in such a way that it faces the ocean and gives its visitors a breathtaking, panoramic view of the Pattaya Bay while they indulge in their shopping and entertainment activities. It is a stark contrast to the colourful streets that are lined with low-priced trinkets and clothes that Thailand is so famous for. The mall has a classy glass façade and shares its space with the imposing Hilton Pattaya. It even offers direct access to it.

 Reason to Visit

International brands are a hot favourite here and all brands have the latest season designs on sale to satiate your shopaholic indulgences! Central Festival Pattaya Beach also houses a t10-screen cinema space along with a bowling alley that occupies the two upper floors. Apart from having brand labels of international fame it also has a wide range of tech stores, restaurants, gaming arcades and a Kiddy Land to keep your infant busy. The front of the shopping mall is decorated with a landscaped garden that is a sight to behold in itself. The modern architecture and the beachfront view of Pattaya Bay along with the world class range of shops are the main reasons you must pay a visit to the Central Festival Pattaya Beach.

 Entry Guidelines

There is no entry fee to get into the mall. You can reach this beachfront mall either by walk or on a songthaew (a Thai share auto). The mall also offers parking, however, there is an hourly charge that will apply if you choose to do this. The mall opens at 11 am and remains open until 11 pm, however, while the shops and entertainment centres inside the mall close down, there are a few bars and restaurants at the entrance that remain open until 2 am. These restaurants are mainly to cater to tourists looking for a good night's dinner and music.

 Where to Eat

The restaurants inside the mall offer a variety of cuisines to choose from: Thai, Japanese, Indian, Russian and European. The mall also has a quaint little market inside that offers lots of fresh fruits and juices for over-the-counter consumption.

If you are looking to spend a day to unwind away from the hot beaches then this shopping haven will serve as the perfect alternative. You can spend a fun-filled day at the mall and if you begin to miss the beach, there’s always the spectacular beach view to look forward to!

Your trip to Thailand will remain incomplete if you have not visited this amazing beachfront mall.
