Hongkou Park is now known as the Lu Xun Park after the establishment of the Lu Xun memorial built in 1951. This is one of the largest parks in northern downtown Shanghai. Other than boating, swimming, badminton and fishing, the park also has other attractions like the Plum Garden and memorial of Yin Feng Ji and Lu Xun Museum.

Various contemporary pictures, documents and other relics are displayed in the Plum Garden in memory of the Korean folk hero, Yin Feng Ji. Within a short distance is a memorial clock that celebrates the friendship of Japan and China.

Established in 1956 the Lu Xun Museum displays a huge collection of cultural relics including Lu’s manuscripts, photos, the things he used and other historical documents. Also available in the museum are a library and a book shop.
