Ranked 23 of 84 sightseeing in Singapore

The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple was founded in 2002 by Shi Fazhao. The highlight of the temple is the 320 kg stupa made of gold. Its design is a blend of elements of the Tang dynasty and that of the Buddhist Mandala; which is a concept akin to the composition and organisation of the Buddhist universe.

Well managed and spiritual

Amazing place with serenity at the heart of the city. With street shopping and food street around, this is a perfect place to calm your mind, stomach and shopping urge at the same time.

The Buddha's relic

Situated at one end of China Town, check out this quaint temple said to be housing one of the relics of the Buddha - his tooth. Take a close look at the wonderful architecture of the temple reminiscent of the typical architecture of mainland, China. Also this temple forms the hub of the social life of China Town. Look around you for all those gents huddled over their boards. Playing what? Chinese Checkers, my dears!!
