Located on the southern bank of Grand Canal, Gallerie dell'Accademia  was built as an art school. Napoleon reinstated the school and installed his haul of Venetian art trophies in this gallery to make it what it is today. This is art gallery consists of famous Venetian paintings from the 14th to 18th centuries, with famous works by Bellini, Veronese and Canaletto. It also houses the drawing of Vitruvian Man by Leonardo da Vinci.  here in 1807, it had a serene air to its collection. Since then, the gallery has added lot of high drama visuals to its list.
